The Pitfalls of Overcommitment and the Vital Principles for Success in Career, Life, and Marketing
Yesterday, I was reading an interview, and I got to know about an article where a candidate made every promise to secure a job.
- He committed to doing extra work,
- Working overtime, and
- coming to the office on Sundays.
Eventually, he landed the job, and he didn’t do anything wrong.However, what went wrong was the overcommitment.
The three lessons I learned from this are:
- Never overcommit.
- Be authentic.
- Stay true to your words.
These principles apply not only to job-seeking but also to life and marketing.
